In the past month, OPPO released three new Reno5 series phones through two conferences. But we had heard about the fourth model for the global market as well. Now, it seems that there is a fifth model in the series. The alleged OPPO Reno5 line model has passed the 3C certification. Though there is nothing official, this handset is called the OPPO Reno5 Lite 5G and will support 30W VOOC fast charging.
A smartphone code-named PELM00 appeared on the 3C certification. Although the official code name has not been confirmed, we think this is a Reno5 series model. The information shows that this phone will support VOOC 4.0, and its charger VC56HACH is a charger that comes with all other OPPO mid-range phones.
Nothing else is known at the moment. But we think it will use the Dimensity chipset from MediaTek. Our assumptions are based on the fact that MediaTek is the best option for the manufacturers that want to bring a 5G connectivity support without spending much. Plus, we think the alleged OPPO Reno5 Lite 5G will sport a quad-camera on the back not to fall behind other similar models on the market.
Current models from the OPPO Reno5 Series
The OPPO Reno5 uses a 6.43-inch full-screen. Under the hood, this handset sports the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor. In its turn, this chip is coupled with up to 12GB memory + 256GB storage. The front-mounted camera has a 32MP resolution, while the rear main camera comes with a combination of 64MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP sensors. The battery inside has a a 4300mAh capacity.
Apart from the standard version, there is also the more powerful OPPO Reno5 Pro+. It sports a 6.55-inch screen. Not only the screen is larger but also it comes with the Dimensity 1000+ processor. The rear camera remains unchanged. But the battery capacity is a bit larger, 4350mAh.
