So when a phone hangs, it mostly has to do with the applications running on the phone. If you’re experiencing any of such, don’t fret, because you’re at the right place.
It is also Important to note that a mobile device is made of two main components; hardware ( the physical aspect of a phone. The part such as screen, battery, packs, cover etc that you can touch), and software ( these are majorly applications on your phone that helps it function. They consist of the Operating System (OS), pre-installed system apps, third party apps and so on.
Many things can cause your phone to freeze or hang for some seconds or even minutes before it goes back to functioning normal. In this article, I will show you what to do in case you are having such frustrating experience. Just follow the steps below, and don’t forget to thank me later.
1. Run Few Apps
There is no point installing a lot of applications on your phone. Especially when you’re not using most of them. Any app you install takes up some space on your phone. Sometimes these apps run in the background that is, even when you’re not using the app, they can still be functional.
2. Free Up Your Internal Memory
If you have a phone that hangs, leave a minimum of 1GB free space on your internal memory. What this means is that, you should clear up your internal memory space, leaving nothing less than 1GB of space.
Having enough space on your internal memory helps start apps faster and also navigate between functions without having problems. Getting an external memory card is also very handy. As far as you don’t overwhelm your internal memory, your phone experience would be seamless.
3. Install Antivirus Software

You’ll be surprised at the kind of space your phone will get after such cleansing.

5. Uninstall Unnecessary Apps
This is also very important if your phone hangs a lot. Simply uninstall applications that are of no use to you. Remove all of them. There is no point having them on your phone while all they do is take up spaces, generate and consume data.
6. Clear Your Phone Of Unnecessary Data
Lastly, a phone that hangs too much is a phone that is limited in space. So, except you have enough external memory, it is best to delete those music videos, movies, pictures etc that you know are taking up a lot of space and you really don’t need them.
Clear your phone up, only run the apps you need, don’t over burden it with unnecessary heavy data and start complaining when the phone starts misbehaving.
