Epic Games Has Acquired ‘Fall Guys’ Developer Mediatonic.

Epic Games has acquired Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout developer Mediatonic.

Revealing that the team behind Fall Guys increased from 35 to quite 150 employees since the game’s launch back in August last year, Mediatonic says that the acquisition will allow the developer to continue expanding on the title and creating new content for it, including features, rounds, and costumes.

It also reassured fans that the gameplay itself won’t be changing which it still intends on porting it to both the Nintendo Switch and therefore the Xbox platforms.

On top of this, while the acquisition will introduce the sport to the Epic Games Store, the corporate maintains that it’ll still be available on Steam and therefore the PlayStation Store.

“At Tonic Games Group we frequently say that ‘everyone deserves a game that seems like it had been made for them.’ With Epic, we desire we’ve found a home that was made for us,” said Tonic Games Group CEO and co-founder Dave Bailey during a statement.

“They share our mission to create and support games that have a positive impact, empower others and stand the test of your time and that we couldn’t be more excited to be joining forces with their team.”
