Galaxy S20 gets a new One UI 3.0 beta update!
The all-new One UI 3.0 beta patch update carries the firmware version G98xxXXU5ZTKA for the Galaxy S20 trio. The update is currently available in two regions namely Germany and the United Kingdom. As expected, it fixes a handful of bugs that were reported by testers all across the globe. The changelog talks about numerous fixes such as the expansion of navigation gesture recognition area, pop-up view when swiping edge lighting pop-up, and many more.
While fixing bugs were expected, what’s surprising here is the addition of the December 2020 Android security patch. We’re currently close to mid-November and the smartphone maker has already shipped the next month’s security patch to its flagship S20 devices. Furthermore, the company was just rolling out the November 2020 security patch to eligible devices a couple of days ago.
With that said, you should get the update notification already and if that’s not the case, then don’t forget to check for it manually. You can do so by heading over to Settings>>Software Update>>Download and Install. We’re expecting the new beta patch update to hit other major markets such as India and the US in the coming days.
Samsung to roll out stable Android 11 by the end of this year!
For those who’re unaware, Samsung is planning to roll out the stable One UI 3.0 for its Galaxy S20 trio before the end of this year. Considering how aggressively the company is pushing updates, we’re expecting that to happen very easily. It is no surprise that Samsung has improved its software support game by a big margin. The company has already promised three years of Android OS updates for a variety of devices including mid-rangers. To recall, the next phase of its Beta Program has already begun with Galaxy Note 10 duo.
