However, the departure of the director, and later the COVID-19 pandemic, led to the fact that the film was postponed until April 2021. Now, the next delay has become known, and the Sun newspaper states a rather unusual reason.
The fact is that this film advertises products of various brands, however, due to the fact that the release of the blockbuster was postponed for a couple of years, many of the technologies and products shown in the film are very outdated.
Companies that promote their new products in films want the stars to use the most promising products. This allows them to be promoted on the market and sold to fans. An insider from the film industry reports that some scenes from the film will have to be significantly redone in this regard. The film was originally supposed to have a Nokia 8.3 5G smartphone, but it came out last fall, so James Bond will have to pick up another device. However, it is still unknown which one.
The source adds that the promotional products shown in the film must be carefully retouched and the scenes re-shot or edited with new products to meet the demands of the advertising brands.
The release of the film is now expected in October 2021.
Nokia phones are the most trusted devices on Counterpoint ranking
HMD Global may not be having the best of the years since the revival of Nokia smartphones. However, this is pretty much understandable since the company suffered during Q1 and Q2 in light of the COVID-19 pandemic and the disruption in the market. The Finnish company has postponed several of its smartphones and we’re still here waiting for the highly-anticipated flagship Nokia 9.3 PureView. Despite this, Nokia still rocks solid as one of the most trustable companies for some customers. That is what says Counterpoint Research. According to the research firm, Nokia tops the chart on its “Trust Ranking” for smartphone companies.
Counterpoint’s ranking evaluates four important segments – Software update frequency, security updates, build quality, and devices recommended for enterprises. Nokia has been doing a solid job by keeping its smartphones up to date and safe with regular security patches. In fact, we can say that Nokia is the only company that really succeeded with the Android One program. First of all, all eligible Nokia smartphones are currently running Android 10. The company has a total of 20 smartphones running Android 10. OnePlus comes in second with just 7 devices. So we can say that HMD Global is doing a stellar job here. One can say that this is due to the Android One program. Well, Xiaomi proves that Android One devices can be a mess.
Nokia also has a huge list of devices with Enterprise recommendation label
The Research firm also lists HMD with the biggest portfolio of devices to receive enterprise recommendations. A good part of these particular devices is getting monthly security patch updates, which isn’t common. OnePlus also comes in second with a good score of 90% of its eligible devices getting security patches every month. Samsung gets 22% while Huawei provides security patches for about 29% of its devices. Xiaomi and Realme have about two-thirds of their phones receiving security patches every month.
In the past, Nokia phones were known for their invincible build quality. HMD wants to honor this legacy even though smartphones are much more fragile than the old dumb phones from the 2000s. The Finish company performs tough tests to ensure the build quality of its phones.
Software support plays a big role in making a customer buy a Nokia smartphone. According to Counterpoint, with the current replacement cycle of around 30 months; users want to buy a phone that will be updated for a long time.
