RM Sotheby’s Lists 1-of-9 2013 Mercedes-Benz.
An extremely rare Mercedes-Benza SLS AMG has just been listed on RM Sotheby’s. While the gull-wing grand tourer was eventually replaced by the AMG GT in 2014, the SLS remains one of the most memorable flagships in the car manufacturer’s celebrated history.
In 2012, a special Electric Drive version of the SLS AMG was unveiled at the Paris Motor Show where it was anticipated that less than 100 examples would be built — no more than nine were actually produced.
Originally priced at close to half a million dollars, the SLS AMG Electric Drive was powered by four electric motors for a four-wheel-drive arrangement, had 740 bhp, 1,000 NM of torque, had a range of 160 miles, could make 0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds, and came in a bright AMG Green Electric paint job.
This particular example has only 3,800 km (2,361 miles) on the dash and has a full service history. The current owner is looking to part ways with this early performance electric sports car for a hefty price of €1,050,000 EUR (approximately $1,270,000 USD).
