Samsung released the Galaxy S21 series of smartphones in January 2021. The flagship model Galaxy S21 Ultra sports a 108MP 1/1.33-inch outsole main camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, one camera, a zoom lens with an efficient focal distance of 70mm and an excellent zoom lens with the same focal distance of 240mm. Both support optical image stabilization and dual-pixel autofocus.

Recently, Samsung showed a true outdoor comparison chart of the Galaxy S21 Ultra smartphone and a full-frame DSLR camera. The chart compares the image quality and image stabilization effect of the ultra-wide-angle lens, fisheye lens , and zoom lens .

The first is that the field of view comparison of the smartphone camera. On the photo page, click on the tiny tree icon below to modify the quad-camera. we will see that the 10x zoom lens has excellent image quality performance, and therefore the color effects of the quad-camera also are consistent.

From this set of comparison photos, we will see that the screen resolution of the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is analogous thereto of a SLR camera. The dynamic range and color performance enjoy the optimization algorithm inside the phone. The effect is best than that of a full-frame SLR. However, the super fisheye lens zoomed in to ascertain the small print , there’ll still be some smear marks. Although the image definition isn’t nearly as good because the fixed shooting with a tripod, it still retains enough information and details.
