Galaxy Z Flip Lite might be Samsung’s affordable take on foldable devices!
The last time we heard about the Galaxy Z Fold Lite was in the month of August. Since then, there has been no leak or rumor surrounding the smartphone. In fact, it was pretty safe to assume that the brand might have scrapped the idea or pushed it to the foreseeable future. Well, that changes now. According to a Twitter user @DSCCRoss, “we are hearing about the Z Flip Lite with UTG”. That’s it! the tweet doesn’t really mention anything else leaving us in a bit of a pickle. The only thing that we can evaluate from the statement is the fact that the brand might be working or planning to work on a smartphone dubbed Galaxy Z Flip Lite.
Furthermore, the tweet clearly mentions that it will come with UTG. For those who’re unaware, UTG stands for Ultra-Thin Glass technology that Samsung introduced with the original Galaxy Fold. If that’s really the case, then it is safe to assume that we will only see UTG panels on Samsung’s foldable device even if we’re looking at the affordable or Lite offering. Of course, that can change if the company ends up revealing something new. In fact, Samsung is also working on making the UTG panels at a lower price tag so that it can launch affordable devices such as Flip Lite.
Affordable foldable phones will change the space altogether!
Well, the current scenario of foldable smartphone space is quite different from the traditional phone market. Samsung seems to be the only smartphone maker that has launched this number of foldable devices so far. An affordable foldable smartphone has the potential to change the smartphone industry. The tech would be able to reach more hands and so will the capabilities of the foldable smartphone. The future of foldable smartphones seems to be on the brighter side.
