It may be too soon to talk about a Mi 11 Ultra. After all, Xiaomi didn’t even give details about a Mi 11 Pro. The vanilla smartphone was launched in December last year as the first smartphone sporting the Snapdragon 888. Now, the company is gearing up to launch the global version which will also coincide with the global rollout of MIUI 12.5. Still, no word on a Mi 11 Pro release. But the leaks are still coming all around.
Today, in a sudden twist of fates, the so-called Digital Chat Station brings details about a phone that is placed above the unreleased Mi 11 Pro. Everything points to a Mi 11 Ultra variant, but the leakster itself is not sure if it will launch as an Ultra model. Could it be a Mi 11 Pro Plus? Back in the last year, Honor introduced the very first “Pro Plus” smartphone, and since then, many smartphone brands from China have been following.
Mi 11 Ultra – QHD+ Display, 67W wireless charging, bigger battery
The prototype of this new high-tier flagship packs a 2K 120Hz four-curved display with a punch-hole for the front-facing camera. It will also have 67W wireless charging and a bigger battery capacity. According to rumors, the Mi 11 Pro will pack a 5,000mAh battery, so we’re probably looking at the same capacity. Worth noting, that two unreleased Mi phones with 67W wireless charging were revealed a couple of days ago. They probably are the 11 Pro and Ultra variants.
We assume that this handset will pack the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. After all, it’s the number one choice for flagship smartphones in 2021.
The Mi 10 Ultra was far better than the vanilla and Pro variants. It arrived with a 6.67-inch FHD+ display, Snapdragon 865 SoC, up to 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of Internal Storage. The device packed a 48MP main camera paired with a 48MP periscope camera with 120x Hybrid Zoom. The phone also has a 20MP ultrawide angle camera and a 12MP telephoto camera.
According to rumors, the Mi 11 Pro is already gearing up to become a really interesting flagship. So, we don’t know exactly how better the Ultra variant will be to justify its place as the king of the series. Perhaps more RAM, better cameras, and a bigger than 5,000mAh battery. Anyway, we’ll have plenty of time to find out.
